Who we are?
Our main tasks include blood donor recruitment, first aid, social welfare, disaster management and Red Cross Youth activities.
Hungarian Red Cross, established in May 1881, has always been driven by its mission to provide humanitarian aid and ensure assistance reaches those in need. Guided by the ideal of humanity, the National Society undertakes a wide range of crucial roles. Its initiatives include promoting first aid education, organizing blood donations, addressing social and refugee issues, rescuing surplus food, leading youth programs, offering volunteering opportunities, providing tracing services, and preparing for and responding to disasters. Hungarian Red Cross plays a vital role in health programs by offering first aid and healthcare education from a young age, conducting health screenings, providing psychosocial support, and organizing approximately 10,000 blood donations a year.
