Submitting a tracing request
You can choose from several options when submitting a tracing request, depending on whether you live or reside in Hungary or abroad.
In case you live in Hungary
- Personally
- In any county or city office of the Red Cross
- By post
- Hungarian Red Cross Tracing Service,
H-1051 Budapest, Arany János utca 31.
- Hungarian Red Cross Tracing Service,
- By e-mail
We only accept the tracing request by post and e-mail if the enquiring person downloads the form below, fills it in, and gives his/her postal address.
In case you live abroad
Please contact the Red Cross Society of the country you are currently residing in, even if you think that the sought person presumably lives in Hungary or that information pertaining to them is found in Hungarian archives. Our partner organisation will forward the tracing request to us.
